Prince Harry raises controversy over his daughter Lillipet's birth certificate 

Why did Prince Harry insist on using the title of HRH, after leaving his royal family and stepping down completely from his position?

There has been much talk about the birth certificate of Lillibit Diana, the daughter of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which was revealed yesterday.

TMZ obtained the birth certificate of Prince Harry's daughter, Lillibit, and mentioned on the birth certificate Harry's name "His Royal Highness Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex."

His use of this title has caused many to wonder that after Harry and Meghan left their senior royal roles and formally stepped down from the royal family, they agreed not to use those titles, and instead use only the titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

However, the answer to that is fairly simple, it's his legal name, which is what the document asks for.

 A representative for Harry and Meghan confirmed (via ET Canada) that the birth certificate asks for legal names and maiden names.

 So, the Duke of Sussex, HRH, is Harry's legal name. Meanwhile, Meghan Markle is reportedly named "Rachel Meghan Markle" because that is her maiden name.
