Hani Shaker issues a decision banning festival singers permanently from working
The captain of the Egyptian Musicians Syndicate Hany Shaker released a decision Direct it to all tourist facilities, Nile cruises, nightclubs and cafés, not to deal with festival singers.
According to Egyptian media, Shaker issued a statement saying, “It is in the context of the societal debate taking place in the Egyptian arena and the presence of almost agreement between all sects of society on the bad situation that is threatening art and general culture because of the so-called festival songs, which are a type of music and zaar rhythms. And suggestive words entrench immoral habits and suggestions in many of them, and these festivals have produced the so-called “instinct listeners,” and the festival performer has become the legitimate father of this artistic and moral decline. .
The head of the Egyptian Musical Professions Syndicate explained that the conditions of membership or permits for the syndicate to sing are not based on the validity of the voice only, but there are also general conditions that must be met by the applicant for membership or permit, which are commitment to the highest values of society and moral custom and the choice of words that do not incite vice or bad habits. And that the vote-testing committee is just a first stage, and then the council convenes to consider the rest of the conditions.
