Worst cosmetics ever!!

Did you know that some cosmetics harm your beauty more than they benefit you, there are very harmful cosmetics available in the market, and no one will guide you to them.

 

1- Triclosan

It is an antibacterial substance that has been used in the cosmetic field since the sixties of the last century. We find it in soaps and skin care products as it limits the spread of bacteria. However, some studies indicate that it can cause skin cancer and thyroid disorders.

2- Perfumes

Perfumes are included in the composition of our cosmetics because they give them a pleasant smell, but they are also accused of causing skin allergies. These fragrances usually consist of “parabens”, “benzene” derivatives, “aldehydes”, and other ingredients that in the long run can cause cancer and problems in the nervous system. In the short term, it may be responsible for irritation and redness of the area to which it is applied. Therefore, it is recommended to avoid cosmetics that include in the list of their ingredients such words as: “Perfume”, “Linalol”, “Limonene”, “Eugenole”, “Citronellol”, “Geraniol”, or “Cinnamal”.

3- Phtalates

They are chemical ingredients that are widely used in nail polish, hair fixing spray, deodorizing products, some types of perfumes, and moisturizing lotions as they are essential to maintaining the softness of the formula of these products. But it is also accused of being behind the emergence of several types of cancer, including breast, liver, liver, and lung cancer. Although there is no actual evidence of the health problems that can be caused by the use of these ingredients, it is advised to avoid the use of cosmetics that contain phthalates in their ingredients.

4- Parabens

They are preservative elements that are included in the formulations of skin care products to protect them from damage and bacterial contamination. But some studies indicate a relationship between parabens and breast cancer, in addition to their negative impact on the work system of the glands circulating in the body. He also accuses “parabens” of being behind causing several types of allergies, and therefore it is recommended to replace it with grape seed extract, which is a natural ingredient that has a great ability to preserve preparations and protect them from damage.

5- Avobenzone

Several studies indicate that this ingredient, which we find in sunscreens, is safe for the skin. But there are other studies that prove the opposite and indicate that it turns into a toxic substance in the presence of ultraviolet rays and chlorine found in swimming pools. Therefore, it is recommended to avoid the use of sun protection products that contain this ingredient.

6- Sulfates

It is a cleansing ingredient for the skin and hair that we find in bath products and shampoos. It is responsible for causing dryness and sensitivity, so we find in the market many products that bear the phrase “sulfate-free” and they have a cleansing effect without the disadvantages associated with the use of sulfates.

7- Formaldehyde

It is a colorless, flammable gas commonly used in building materials and in cosmetics, including skin care and nail polish. This ingredient is accused of causing cancer and nervous system disorders, in addition to chest pain, coughing and difficulty breathing, so it is advised to avoid the use of preparations containing this ingredient.

8- Hydroquinone

It is a skin irritant that has disrupted the immune system and caused cancerous tumors to appear when tested on animals. Therefore, it is recommended to replace it with Arbutine, a natural ingredient that has the same effect in the field of skin lightening, but without the disadvantages of hydroquinone.

9- Phenylenediamine

Also known as PPD, it has been used in hair coloring products since the 1800s. This ingredient has been banned in the cosmetic industries in France and Germany due to the sensitivity it can cause. We usually find it also in the dyes used to make tattoos on the skin, and it can also be added to henna to fix its color. Several cases of serious allergic reactions to it have been reported, leaving unpleasant effects on the skin.

10- Microbeads

They are very small granules that are added to exfoliating products and have been banned in Canada since 2018. These granules effectively exfoliate the skin, but they do not break down and therefore cause various environmental problems. Therefore, it is recommended to replace them with natural exfoliating ingredients such as sugar, salt, and fruit seeds.

11- Toluene

It is a petrochemical substance characterized by its decolorizing effect, and therefore it is added to nail polish removal preparations and hair color lightening products. But exposure to it at high rates showed a decrease in immunity during tests conducted on animals. It is advised to stay away from cosmetics containing this substance.

12- Propylene Glycol

This ingredient is found in many makeup products, hairspray, shampoo, moisturizer, tonic lotion, and even sunscreen. But it has been linked to allergic reactions that appeared on the skin when it was used by some people.
