And he added in his statement that quoting from the hadith of the Prophet to become part of a song is not legally permissible and is not appropriate to the position of prophethood or the position of prophets, and is not permissible according to Sharia because the performance of songs may be tainted and attached to matters that contradict the majesty of prophecy.

And the statement continued: Based on the duty of advice to God and His Messenger and the general believers and their own, the Islamic Research Academy advises all Muslims not to be exposed to listening to such songs, singing them or promoting them.

And he continued, saying: And they should know that they are commanded to honor and venerate this great Prophet - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, to exalt his rank and station, and to keep his honorable hadiths away from the arenas of entertainment and amusement.
