Where is the country of the condom?

Although its name suggests a myth, some people say that this country actually exists, so where are the Al-Waq Waq Islands located, and what is its complete story?

There are those who believe that Al-Waqq is a real place, located geographically in present-day Madagascar, which the Arabs reached at the height of their civilization, and their sea voyages.

While some believe that the “waq waq” is just a color that does not exist, as the Arabs used to call this name the “impossible color.”

However, the story of “Al-Waq Waq” in the Arab heritage blogs, and its stories, indicate that it is closer to a myth than to reality.

gold fairy tale

Among those fairy tales, a first narration indicated that this place is very rich in gold.

It was mentioned in some heritage books that it is a place rich in dust, to the extent that its residents wear gold shirts, and their monkeys also wear gold collars and their dogs are dragged with gold chains.

There is no doubt that this is an exaggeration, and perhaps the condom is a condom in the end just a dream that people aspire to reach.

A kingdom ruled by a woman

As for the second narration, it indicated that Al-Waqq Waq, a kingdom ruled by a woman with four thousand female servants, all of them naked, is also an uncontrollable story.

In the third, most unusual narration, the waq-waq is named after trees bearing this name, its fruits resemble the head of a woman with long, drooping hair, and when the fruit ripens and falls to the ground, the air passes through it, making a sound that says “waq waq.”

Is it Japan?

While some believe that the waqf may have been found in Madagascar, others believe that it is present-day Japan, according to stories attributed to Ibn Battuta on his travels through China, and that he came by name from there and was distorted.

However, the geographic location of Al-Waqq Al-Waqq remains obscure, as it is in most accounts an island surrounded by the sea, often ranging from East Africa to Japan in the east.

However, in one of the maps drawn by the Arab geographer Abu Abdullah Muhammad al-Idrisi around the year 1154 AD, the Al-Waq Islands appear at the top of the map, that is, in the southern part of the land, making it closer to the location of present-day Madagascar.
