Details of Saad Lamjarred's trial

And the French judicial authorities had previously issued a shocking decision to Moroccan singer Saad Lamjarred.

After it was decided to refer the case file of Frenchwoman Laura Priolle to the “Criminal” court, describing the charge as “rape”,

Which, if convicted, is subject to a 20-year prison sentence.

The decision was made by the Court of Appeal in Paris.

It provides for a retrial of Saad Lamjarred on charges of raping a young woman in her twenties in 2016.

She considered that the description of rape, not “sexual assault,” applied to her.

Contrary to the decision issued in April of 2019 by the Misdemeanor Court, which stipulated the mitigation of the charges

With the right of the abstract, he described the incident as “sexual assault” and “violence with aggravating reasons.”

The decision of the Court of Cassation was based on the merits of the investigation room, which confirmed that there is sufficient evidence to characterize the facts as rape.

It is a crime that the criminal court has jurisdiction over.

Saad Lamjarred was scheduled to be tried with the new description in January of the year 2020, but the Court of Cassation annulled this decision due to a formal defect in it, represented in the failure of the President of the Chamber to sign it.
