Solaf Fawakherji I cried for a whole year because of what Karis Bashar did

Syrian actress Solaf Fawakherji sparked controversy by talking about the story of her dispute with Karis Bashar, which dates back to an old incident that occurred 22 years ago during the wedding of Fawakherji and Wael Ramadan.
In an interview on the Lebanese Al-Jadeed channel via the “Kitab Al-Shoora” program, Fawakherji recounted the reasons that fueled the dispute with Karis Bashar and turned to the courts, noting that she was reluctant to talk about the issue to the media in order to preserve Karis’s “interests.”
Fawakherji said that Karis Bashar attended her wedding in 1999, accompanied by a friend, without any official invitation and they had no previous knowledge, noting that one of those present at her wedding was a family dispute with Karis.

“I cried a year”

“You are coming to my wedding when she is not planned, and this is painful for any woman and painful for any girl.. I will not forget that I stayed for a whole year and every time I put my head on the pillow I cried.” Fawakherji said in her interview, expressing her sadness over Karis' behavior and her attendance at her wedding without an official invitation or previous knowledge.
And Karis tried - according to what Fawakherji mentioned - to annoy the attendees, which made them feel insulted, and made her family try to control the situation, especially since many of the "Syrian stars" were at the party and all of them watched the situation.
Fawakherji continues: "You came to my wedding when it was not planned, and you ruined my wedding, and the occasion turned into a different style, like a New Year's party."
Karis also brought a special “Kato” cake to celebrate her birthday in the midst of Slav and Wael’s wedding, using the “severing sword” that was supposed to be used to cut the wedding cake, to cut her birthday cake, accompanied by four or five unnamed people.

And about the lawsuit between Solaf and Karis, Fawakherji says that journalist Rabie Heneidy asked her a question after the incident to know her opinion of Karis’s behavior during the wedding: “Don’t you see Karis’s behavior as rudeness and impoliteness?” She replied: “This is normal … someone wants to sabotage Shaw’s wedding. Does it want to be?” However, the journalist’s question changed - with paraphrasing - and became Fawakherji’s answer, according to what she mentioned in the interview.

This response prompted Karis Bashar to file a lawsuit for defamation, claiming material rights, which was denied by Sulaf Fawakherji, noting that Karis Bashar, in turn, also tried to waive material fees in the lawsuit that did not exceed 500 Syrian pounds, Fawakherji did not accept this waiver and paid it.

Solaf denounced the actions of her colleague, Karis, by saying: "Shameful.. I was her protector with my silence. I wish she had not spoken, but to preserve the water of her face in front of women when they were subjugated."
