Despite the uproar caused by his shocking statements about the slaughter college girl Mansoura, Naira Ashraf two days ago, but the professor of Islamic law at Al-Azhar University, Mabrouk Attia, stuck to his words, trying to justify them.
He tried to explain what he said after the murder of the young student, through a video clip he posted on his Facebook account before announcing his retirement yesterday.

He said in the aforementioned video: "More clarification, may the rebellious world calm down. In the accident of killing Naira, I did not attack Nayra and did not mention that she was not veiled, and I prayed for her mercy 9 times."

But that phrase sparked more anger over his statements, and thousands of Egyptians demanded his trial, using the hashtag “Prosecute Mabrouk Attia” on social media.

Some also considered that “Professor Al-Fahim, instead of kohl for her blindness,” that is, it made matters worse.

It is noteworthy that Attia had said in a clip he published two days ago, “Oh, do you veil, you do so,” commenting on the murder of the Mansoura student, which shook the country and shocked the Egyptians, as a student slaughtered Naira in front of the university’s door, after she refused to marry him.
He also added: “Women and girls veil themselves in order to live, and wear loose clothing so as to be ignorant. If your life is expensive for you, get out of your house in a standing position, neither separated, nor trousers, nor hair on the cheeks, because at that time he will see you, whose saliva runs and kills you.”
Yesterday, Wednesday, the National Council for Women submitted an official complaint to the Public Prosecutor against the preacher, considering that he incites hatred, violence and murder!
But the controversial Mabrouk, later announced in a live broadcast on Facebook his retirement, saying that “this meeting with him may be his last in the public.”
