Prank The two YouTube stars and Alex Stokes may go to prison

TikTok and YouTuber twins Alan and Alex Stokes are facing criminal and misdemeanor charges as a result of a bank robbery prank they staged with the aim of filming a YouTube video.

This event took place in October 2019, and was documented in a video they published titled “BANK ROBBER PRANK!” The 23-year-old twin wore black clothes and ski masks, as well as duffel bags full of cash.

Then they called a taxi and pretended to be thieves and rob banks. The driver refused to drop them off and passersby who saw the prank called the police, believing that the two were trying to kidnap the driver.

Police at the time issued a warning to the Stokes brothers, explaining the inherent danger of their behavior. Four hours later, the two allegedly attempted a similar stunt on the UC Irvine campus.

The brothers' interaction with the police was also documented in the video they posted on their YouTube channel. This video has since become private.

"These weren't pranks," the Orange County District Attorney said in a press release released by his office. These are crimes that can seriously injure or even kill a person.”

Spitzer continued, “Law enforcement officials take an oath to protect the public and when someone calls 911 to report a theft, they will respond to protect lives. Instead, what they found was a kind of devious attempt to gain more popularity online by needlessly endangering members of the public and police officers.”

As for the details of the verdict, if the twins are found guilty of all charges, each could face a possible maximum sentence of four years in prison.
