How bacteria contribute to the beauty of our skin?

Studies indicate the presence of two types of bacteria on the surface of the skin, some of which are good and contribute to the functioning of the skin, and some are bad and cause various damages. Therefore, taking care of what is known as “microbiota”, that is, all the bacteria on the surface of the skin, is a way to maintain beautiful skin and achieve the following goals:

Bug handling:

The bacteria responsible for acne hide in the pores of the skin and in the ducts of sebum secretions. Hormonal changes in the body, in addition to psychological stress, may lead to an increase in the production of skin sebum and thus the proliferation of bacteria, causing acne to appear. Facing this problem depends on choosing care products that contain “prebiotics”, which are food for good bacteria. It includes substances such as Actibiom or Bioecolia, or even other compounds that provide the effect of good bacteria to maintain the balance of the epidermal envelope and reduce the appearance of impurities. It is also recommended in this regard to choose formulas that include lactic acid produced by bacteria, due to its anti-fatigue action and its ability to gently exfoliate the skin.

Anti-allergic reaction:

Skin stops playing its anti-inflammatory role when its ecosystem is disrupted. This will speed up the mechanism of reproduction of bad bacteria and cause hypersensitivity of the skin to the aggressions of daily life. In this case, it is recommended to choose products that maintain good bacteria in sufficient numbers to allow maintaining healthy skin and protect against infections. In this case, it is advisable to choose care creams rich in “prebiotics” compounds such as “Bioecolia” in addition to soothing plant extracts such as aloe vera, calendula, and lily.

Delaying signs of aging:

Inflammation is one of the main causes of premature aging of the skin and a direct result of our stressful lifestyle and exposed to various types of pollution. Microbiota is considered one of the invisible shields of the skin, as it is able to face the aggressions that the skin is exposed to and protect it from premature aging. Therefore, probiotics are included in many anti-aging creams, most notably: Biofidus, which is combined with other youth-promoting ingredients such as antioxidants, hyaluronic acid or even caffeine, which has effective results on the eye contour area.

Fighting drought:

Research has shown that people with dry skin lack the bacterial diversity found in people with normal skin, so it is possible to work on developing this diversity in bacteria types in order to maintain skin moisture and restore its vitality that it lacks as a result of dehydration.

Some types of bacteria, such as Aqua Posae Filiformis, play a key role in stimulating the growth of other types of good bacteria, which contributes to bacterial diversity. You usually find it in care products with soothing formulas, which contain thermal water rich in nutritional minerals such as selenium.

- Enhance radiance:

Some types of bacteria have an antioxidant effect, allowing the skin to activate the skin's natural immune defenses, enhancing its ability to regenerate faster and restore its radiance. In this context, microbiota care can become an additional advantage to help the skin regain its freshness in the atmosphere of cities where there is a lot of pollution. In this case, fluids and serums rich in probiotics such as Lactobacillus pentos lysates can be used to strengthen the skin's immune defenses.

These formulas are also infused with brightening active ingredients such as vitamin E-rich botanical oils, peptides, and even ultra-hydrating hyaluronic acid.
