A new analysis indicates that insomnia usually begins after waking up at night, and continues due to the thought of not being able to sleep after that, according to Dr. Roman Bozonov, a specialist in sleep science and problems.

The specialist pointed out in an interview with Sputnik Radio that sleep consists of several stages and physiological awakening occurs every two hours, and healthy people simply do not notice this.

He also explained that a healthy person wakes up every two hours. The sleeper opens his eyes, then turns over and changes his position, then falls asleep and forgets that he woke up, stressing that this is normal.

Problems begin when these awakenings make a person feel anxious and believe that he will not be able to sleep.

Then the question begins, “What should I do?” explaining that this stress causes a jump in blood pressure, after which the person does not sleep because he has a feeling of fear of not sleeping, until a vicious circle is created that can lead to severe disorders.

It is noteworthy that sleep regulation is much better than any anti-insomnia medication.

According to the same specialist, insomnia in many cases is not considered a disease, but rather a disorder in thinking and behavior.

Strangely enough, the best way to treat such insomnia is to restrict sleep.
