With a bullet from a military pistol, Danny ended her life on the evening of Saturday, December 25, Christmas Day, but her heart continued to beat and fight death until Sunday, December 26, the date of her death announcement.

Laboratory tests proved that the bullet lodged above her right ear, penetrated the skull and crushed the bone and meningeal lesion that flew away.

The investigations also revealed that the bullet was fired from a distance of about thirty centimeters from the head, as evidenced by the finding of a gunpowder and lead tattoo in it.

According to a security report issued shortly after the crime, according to the newspapers issued at the time, when searching for the pistol used in the accident, the maid reported that after hearing the sound of bullets, she went to Danny’s room and saw the pistol on the ground, so she took it in her hand and put it in Danny’s locker. To make sure it was Danny's own handprint, or the fingerprints of someone suspected of being involved in this crime.

The maid justified in the investigation that she had moved the pistol out of precaution so that no one would take it, and that she was so afraid she hid the pistol and it had traces of blood and tufts of hair stuck to it.

Danny's neighbors reported that day, that her emotional relationship with her lover was not stable and she was witnessing daily disputes, as he was beating her harshly, which prompted her to file a complaint with the Public Prosecution Office in Mount Lebanon, which sent the forensic doctor Sarkis Abu Akl to examine her and write an official report on this, despite her poor condition. The medical and psychological report and her obtaining a medical report, the personal case was withdrawn after she reconciled with her lover, who stated in the investigations that upon hearing the sound of bullets he was in the salon, and when he ran towards the door of Danny’s room, he found it locked and went out to the balcony to enter the room through the glass door and find the artist covered in her blood.

It was found that he tried to rescue her with the help of the percussion officer in her squad, who happened to arrive at the house in those moments, and she was still stumbling in her blood.

It was not immediately determined that it was suicide, but the effect of black smoke on her temples as a result of the bullet being fired from close range, and the hair that was stuck to the pistol indicated that the pistol was stuck to the temple, which confirmed the hypothesis of suicide.

Danny had tried to commit suicide after the death of her son using medication twice, and both times she was saved, and she had told her lover before her death that she intended to commit suicide, but he did not believe her, so her pictures were filling the streets of Beirut for the New Year's party that she was preparing to revive.
