Then she addressed her words to Prince William, saying: “You are our nation’s leading star. On behalf of the BAFTAs, I thank you for all you have done for our film and television industry.”
Then a montage was shown to the audience with portraits of such legendary artists as Elizabeth Taylor.
However, the most moving moment of the tribute was the Queen's audio commentary in which she explained the importance of culture and the arts to society.

The British Academy of Arts honors Queen Elizabeth
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts announced that Helen Mirren She will lead a special tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth at the awards ceremony. Mirren won a BAFTA and an Academy Award for her performance as the Queen in the 2006 film The Queen.
In 2014, she reprized her role in the Broadway play The Audience. In 2003, she was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Honor for her services to drama.
Upon receiving the Oscar, Mirren praised the Queen for maintaining her dignity and sense of duty throughout her reign.
“She has her feet firmly planted on the ground, her hat on her head, her handbag on her arm, and she has weathered so many storms… If it weren't for her, I certainly wouldn't be here,” said Mirren. It appears that the Queen was so moved by Mirren's portrayal that she invited her to dinner at Buckingham Palace, but due to filming restrictions, Mirren had to decline the invitation.
