The scary bull run festival kicks off in Spain
It is the frightening San Fermin bull-running festival, which many await to witness its bloody events. The San Fermin Festival was launched in Pamplona on Saturday, one of the largest traditional celebrations in Spain, which includes especially races of raging bulls.
The "Chupinathu" arrow, which usually announces the start of the celebrations, was fired from the balcony of the city's municipal headquarters at noon over the municipal square, which was filled with revelers who wore white and red.
The festivities of the San Fermin Bull Running Festival end on July 14 and annually attract hundreds of thousands of tourists to the capital of Navarre over a period of nine days.
Raging bull races are held in the alleys of the old city at eight o'clock every morning.
The bull run, during which people try to run as close as possible to 12 bulls, ends in the Pamplona tracks, where bullfights take place in the afternoon, in which the biggest names in this field participate.
Every year, many injured in these races known as “Enciero”, during which at least 16 participants have been killed since 1910.
