Yesterday, Monday evening, the Egyptian artist announced his resignation from the position of head of the Syndicate of Musical Professions, and stressed that "his decision is final and not reviewed."
This came against the background of what happened in a press conference held by the union for singer Hassan Shakoush in order to reconcile with the Musicians' Division, where he witnessed altercations in which the musicians' voices rose with shouts and shouts, which prompted Shakir to withdraw.
The representative of the Musicians Syndicate, Hamada Abu Al-Yazid, said that Shaker was "deeply disturbed by what happened in the press conference held by the union in order to present festivals singer Hassan Shakoush an apology to the percussionists' division, after he uttered inappropriate words during one of his concerts last year."
During a subsequent television intervention, Shaker announced his resignation, thanking all members of the Syndicate's board of directors for the 5-year period he spent in it, stressing that he was honored to work with great artistic stature.
