Corona immunity .. a study that reassures the mind about the dreaded virus
Corona’s immunity with the diversity of the recent study on Corona and the duration of immunity formed by the recovered, revealed A large British study with promising results on the subject.
That study found that all those recovering from the emerging virus had high levels of antibodies for at least six months, which likely protected them from infection again.

In addition, the scientists said that the study, which measures levels of previous infection with Covid-19 in the population across Britain as well as how long the antibodies persisted in those infected, provides some reassurance that a second infection quickly will be rare.
“The vast majority retain detectable antibodies for at least six months after infection,” said Naomi Allen, professor and chief scientist at Biobank in the UK, where the study was conducted.
Corona immunity and antibodies
The results showed that among the participants who had previously tested positive for COVID-19, 99 percent retained antibodies for three months. After a full six months of follow-up during the study, 88 percent still had antibodies.
Commenting on these percentages, Allen said, "Although we cannot be sure of this relationship to immunity, the results indicate that people can be protected from infection again for at least six months after infection."
She also added that the results are also consistent with the results of other studies in the United Kingdom and Iceland, which concluded that antibodies to the Corona virus likely remain for several months in those recovering.
It is noteworthy that a previous study that was conducted on health care workers in the United Kingdom and published last month revealed that those recovering from Covid-19 may likely have protection for at least five months, but it indicated that these people can still carry the virus and spread the infection.
