Fujairah International Arts Festival announces the activities of its third session

The Fujairah Culture and Media Authority announced the activities of the third edition of the Fujairah International Arts Festival, which will be one of the largest festivals ever, which is held by the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, and with the support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi and Crown Prince Fujairah era, and under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, during the period from February 20 to February 28, 2020, with wide Arab and international participation.

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority and Chairman of the Higher Committee of the Festival, stressed the importance of art festivals, as a social cultural event that celebrates high-end arts and contributes to the exchange of experiences and knowledge and cultural friction between participating countries from around the world, pointing out that the Fujairah International Arts Festival , contributed to leaving an artistic imprint on the map of global arts, because of its purposeful artistic and cultural diversity, interested in high-end arts.. His Highness Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi confirmed: The Fujairah Arts Festival witnessed thanks to the continuous support of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, witnessed qualitative leaps in his activities that combine arts that simulate heritage and originality and present the experiences of the participating countries, which reflects the interest that the state attaches to arts, culture and knowledge, which are the first steps in attracting the talents and competencies of young generations, within the context of An integrated renaissance.
His Highness pointed out that the Fujairah International Arts Festival has enshrined the idea of ​​volunteering among members of society, through their participation in the festival's activities and various programs that are organized periodically in the Emirate of Fujairah, in line with the vital orientation of the state in the path of volunteer work, pointing to the importance of the role of Fujairah. Attracting all societal and cultural activities, which contributed to consolidating its position not only at the local and Arab levels, but also internationally, and creating an atmosphere that contributes to spreading the values ​​of tolerance and love among all cultures of countries.

For his part, His Excellency Mohammed Saeed Al-Dhanhani, Vice-President of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority and head of the festival, stressed that the festival represents a distinguished Emirati and international platform for spreading the values ​​of love and tolerance among the peoples of the world. Thanks to the support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, the festival has strengthened its role in supporting the arts to a high and professional level and has occupied a local and international position, due to its activities that mimic the international artistic and cultural movement.
His Excellency Mohammed Al-Dhanhani praised the role of government and private institutions and agencies in the Emirate of Fujairah, in supporting the festival’s activities through their influential partnership, which starts from facilitating the work of the organizing committees, leading to the establishment of parallel events that integrate with the festival’s activities and target its guests … to ensure a huge event that promotes the Emirate of Fujairah at the local level. and global.
In turn, His Excellency Eng. Mohammed Saif Al Afkham, Director of the Festival, stressed the importance of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, that the third session of the festival be one of the most prominent international artistic and cultural events that are held every two years in Fujairah to celebrate the fine arts, and to enrich the role of The emirate, as an international destination for artists and creators, pointed out that the current session of the festival is witnessing a great diversity of different artistic activities, in addition to the festival's synchronization with the announcement of the winners of the Sheikh Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi Prize for Creativity in its second session, making the event a variety of festivals in one festival.
His Excellency Al Afkham pointed out that the festival will witness a number of ITI activities, including consultative meetings, events and the announcement of new international art projects.

Hessa Al Falasi, Director of the Sheikh Rashid Award for Creativity, spoke at the press conference, noting that the Sheikh Rashid Award for Creativity comes as a generous initiative of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, with the aim of supporting and nurturing Arab talents in the creative fields and various literary and cultural fields, highlighting their owners and celebrating materially and morally, which contributes to the enrichment of Arabic literature and the consolidation of its position.

Al Falasi pointed out that the award received in its second session 3100 works, of which 1888 were qualified, and 27 winners will be honored in the nine categories of the award, and 34 members of the arbitration committees chosen from the elite Arab writers and intellectuals will be honored to evaluate the works and select the winners.

The Fujairah International Arts Festival will open with a huge artistic show on the Fujairah Corniche, according to the latest modern technologies that guarantee a remarkable presence. Hussein Al Jasmi and the artist Ahlam.
The festival is directed and scenography by the Syrian artist Maher Salibi and the words of Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Saeed Al-Hamoudi and music by Walid Al-Hashim.
Over the course of eight continuous days, the festival includes a series of artistic, theatrical, musical, plastic and performing performances from different continents of the world, in addition to folk arts from the UAE, where monodrama performances constitute an important event in the center of the festival, and the Fujairah Festival presents 12 monodramatic performances from the UAE and Algeria. Tunisia, Palestine, Syria, Bahrain, Iraqi Kurdistan, Sri Lanka, Greece, England and Lithuania, in addition to the applied seminars accompanying the monodrama performances and the intellectual symposium, the festival organizes a number of accompanying events, hosting the Sheikh Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi Award for Creativity in its second session, where this session witnessed a great demand for participation And competition in its literary and cultural fields from 27 countries from different parts of the Arab world in addition to India and some countries of the African continent such as Guinea and Chad.
The festival presents 42 musical and lyrical performances from various Arab and foreign countries, distributed between bands, singing performances, folk art and contemporary dance, where the artists Sherine Abdel Wahab, Assi Al-Hillani, Faisal Al-Jassem, singer Tamila from Costa Rica, the Bahraini artist Hind, the Sudanese artist Stouna and Suleiman Al-Qassar, Abdullah Balkhair, the artist Fattouma, Mustafa Hajjaj, Hazza Al-Dhanhani, Nancy Ajaj, Wael Jassar, and the artist Jesse, special concerts, in addition to the star of the closing ceremony, which is performed by the Arab artist, the Saudi artist Mohammed Abdo, on the Corniche stage, and the festival also includes concerts Musical and lyrical from the Emirates, Jordan, India, Tunisia, Egypt, Oman, Armenia and the Philippines.
Nine Emirati folklore groups will present their performances throughout the festival days in the heritage villages held by the festival in Fujairah and Dibba Al Fujairah. The arts festival also includes the establishment of a museum for the late Egyptian artist Abdel Halim Hafez and the Emirati Thobe Exhibition, in addition to organizing a wandering food festival and a workshop to teach puppet making.
The festival hosts a large number of stars of acting, singing and performing arts, as more than 600 Arab and foreign stars are guests of the festival, from 60 Arab and foreign countries. More than one hundred and twenty Arab and foreign media figures witness and follow the activities of the festival.
