The Arab Fashion Council, in strategic partnership with Dubai Design District and in partnership with HuManagement agency, opened the fashion show by hosting the inaugural Personal Fashion Icon Awards, a Pink Carpet Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony that was honored by regional and international media, celebrities and key players. in the fashion industry.
First day
Lebanese star Maya Diab, who was named the first fashion icon last year during a digital ceremony from Beirut, handed the award to Kim Colemon, Vice President of Mattel for Barbie Design, after an inspiring speech and an amazing performance. In honor of Barbie, Moschino Creative Director Jeremy Scott was awarded the Council's Medal of Honor for Lifetime Achievement followed by a fashion show presenting the Moschino Collection from the Barbie Archive.
The natural event continued for a week after the awards ceremony as Arab Fashion Week returned to a personal revitalization, welcoming more than 7000 fashion experts from around the world who united in Dubai to personally celebrate the Spring-Summer 2022 collection.
Microsoft, Godaddy, Etihad Airways, Aramex, Maserati, Kikko Milano and Schwarzkopf support the region's most important fashion event.

Dubai-based fashion designer Furn One, Creative Director of Amato, opened the season with a keen interest in handcraft and embroidery that embodies the brand's DNA in two dominant colours, red and black. Evening dresses and bodysuits were some of the most iconic designs on the catwalk.
The local Emirati brand, Euphoria, which has already been sold out in department stores and online stores in less than a year of incubation, has showcased its ready-to-wear collection that aids in the selection of evening wear and at the same time maintains ready-to-wear technology with a strategy to empower women with easy access to evening wear. Red carpet silhouettes, pastels and sequins are the highlight of the collection.
The Palestinian label, Ihab Jeries, showcased a collection of evening wear and wedding dresses that focused on the refined finishing touches of details and the technical know-how of the art of embroidery. As for the geometric motifs and volumes on the waist and shoulders that define the DNA of the collection, they dominate its silhouettes.

Emirati designer, Yara Bin Shukr, celebrated her return to the Arab Fashion Week calendar as the event returned to personal shows, with the brand's core evolving, as the brand replaced modest clothing with an emphasis more on relaxed, sleeveless cuts. While the brand kept calm pastel colors, it also stood out for light fabrics and prints. In collaboration with Fashion Week partner Godaddy, Yara Benchakr launched an online store that uses all digital innovations to reach an international audience. The collaboration was documented through a digital campaign highlighting Yara Bin Shukr's success story as a local Emirati brand.
Polish label Dorota Goldpoint showcased a collection that mainly features evening dresses, with an emphasis on simple cuts, away from embroidery and prints.
Dubai Design District-based brand Autonomy, founded by Egyptian creative director Maha Magdy, debuted on the calendar to grace the catwalk with an edgy vibe and ready-to-wear collection titled “Metanoia,” which references the reform process as new. Autonomy surprised the audience with the set of Aramex capsules that appeared on the runway, where the looks were recycled using shipping materials, boxes, shipping labels and tapes. The capsule designs were very in sync with the rest of the collection and are clearly bold and wearable just like the brand's modern DNA.
French designer Victor Winsanto put his collection inspired by the Alsace region with his spring collection. The French-Beirutian designer Eric Ritter, Creative Director of Emergency Room, made an unexpected offer through the Neverland collection. The brand's sustainable approach from recycled fabrics to an extensive choice of models is clearly reflected in the choreography, acting models, music and video. The fifth day
Dubai-based Iraqi designer, Zina Zaki, opened the last day of Fashion Week with a videotaped salute to the public from Costa Rica where the designer is currently on a peace mission. The closing ceremony of the Spring-Summer 2022 edition of Arab Fashion Week was a true celebration of creativity, inclusivity and craftsmanship. Dubai-based Michael Cinco wrapped up the closing week with the screening of Gustav Klimt's Super Dream. The catwalk was a true piece of art, a stunning canvas featuring the usual flair for the Cinco identity as well as his Gustav Klimt-inspired collection of prints in collaboration with Epson that printed not only the Cinco collection canvas, but the podium floors as well. The show wasn't over until it stole the hearts of the audience and made everyone stand up for applause. Cinco expresses his vision of beauty through the inclusivity of models.
