The city was founded by blocks more than 2000 years ago, making it one of the oldest cities in Bavaria. In southeastern Germany, it is the last city on the banks of the Danube before the border with Austria, where it is located at the confluence of three rivers, the Inn, Ilz and Danube, so sometimes the city is known as the city of three rivers.

Oberhaus Museum:
