There are some foods that we love and adore, and they may be considered useful and nutritious, but they may become the opposite if we eat them right before bed, according to the Healthline website, which is concerned with health affairs.

Many food items that are actually nutritious can have an adverse reaction if we eat them at the wrong time of the day, especially at night and before bed.

Eating certain types of foods too close to bedtime can make it difficult for us to fall asleep, as these foods can give us heartburn at night or indigestion, thus causing insomnia and preventing us from enjoying a sound sleep during the night hours.

Doctors and nutrition experts usually advise trying to stay away from fatty foods during dinner, and to have a light meal early in the night, about 3 to 4 hours before bedtime.

Eating fatty, cheesy, and fried foods late in the day can lead to indigestion and prevent you from getting a good night's sleep.

Nuts like almonds, pistachios, and walnuts can help maintain normal blood pressure and promote a healthy heart, but because they're high in fat and calories, these nutritious foods can lead to weight gain if eaten after dinner.
