Also, businessman Muhannad Al-Kharafi, who is the vice-president of the Kuwaiti Al-Kharafi Group, was among the list of rich Arabs during the past year.

Also out of the list was the businessman Bassam Al-Ghanim, son of Youssef Al-Ghanim, the founding father of Al-Ghanim Company in 1930. He was one of the largest investors in First Gulf Bank through Al-Ghanim Industries, with an estimated fortune of $1.2 billion.

The Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri, the son of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, was also left out of the list.

For the second year in a row, the Egyptian Nassef Sawiris topped the list of the richest Arabs, with a net worth of $6.4 billion, despite the fact that his wealth declined from 6.6 billion dirhams in 2018.

The Emirati billionaire, Majid Al Futtaim, ranked second in the Arab world, and his net worth increased by half a billion dollars to 5.1 billion dollars, after it was 4.6 billion dollars last year.

Emirati billionaire Abdullah Al Ghurair ranked third on the list of the Arab rich, with a net worth of $4.6 billion, down from $5.9 billion.

Algerian billionaire Issad Rebrab ranked fourth in the Arab world, after his net worth rose to $3.7 billion, up from $2.8 billion last year.

Egyptian billionaire Naguib Sawiris ranked sixth, with a net worth of $2.9 billion, up from $4 billion last year.

Emirati billionaire Abdullah Al Futtaim ranked seventh on the list of the Arab rich, with a net worth of $2.5 billion, up from $3.3 billion last year.

Abdullah Al-Futtaim’s fortune was equal to the Lebanese billionaire Najib Mikati, whose fortune amounted to 2.5 billion dollars, compared to about 2.8 billion dollars in 2018.

Emirati billionaire Hussein Sajwani ranked eighth in the Arab world, after his net worth amounted to about $2.4 billion, down from $4.1 billion last year.

Egyptian billionaire Mohamed Mansour advanced to the ninth place in the Arab world, with a net worth of about $2.3 billion, up from $2.7 billion last year.

Tenth came the Emirati billionaire Saeed bin Butti Al Qubaisi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Century Investments, and his net worth amounted to about $2.2 billion, after it was $2.7 billion last year.
