- Who can apply to renew an electronic passport?
Filipino citizens living in Saudi Arabia who hold an electronic passport can apply for renewal at VFS Global’s Electronic Passport Renewal Center. Expiration date. The validity period of passports issued for adults (10 years and above) will be 18 years, while the validity of passports for minors will be for a period of 10 years.
It is worth noting that the center accepts electronic passport renewal requests exclusively. Electronic passports are included with an electronic chip that contains the personal data and biometric details of the passport holders.

Prepare all originals and copies of documents required for passport renewal
Visit the electronic passport renewal center in person to submit the application
- Payment of fees
Submit the application form, the old electronic passport and the required documents
The processing time for each application varies, and the new passport is issued within 30-45 working days from the date of submitting the application, bearing in mind that the period may be longer depending on the conditions.
- Pay the renewal fee at the center
Passport renewal fee: 240 SAR
Service fee: 103 SAR (inclusive of 15% VAT)
Total fees per application: 343 SAR
The passport renewal fee is the same as the fee charged at the Philippine Embassy/Consulate. The applicant must pay an additional service fee when submitting the application at the VFS Global e-Passport renewal centers.
