Ivanka Trump distances herself from supporting her father after his presidential bid

Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, were senior advisors in the Donald Trump administration, which faced criticism for what was considered the involvement of "family members" in prominent diplomatic and political missions.

Trump has repeatedly praised his daughter Ivanka's performance, saying she did a great job in the tasks assigned to her while she was in the White House.

And Ivanka continued, “I support my father to move forward, but I will do it from outside the arena of politics. I am grateful and honored to serve the American people, and I will always be proud of the many accomplishments of the (Trump) administration.”

And on Tuesday night, Trump announced his intention to run in the elections, from his luxurious home, “Mar-a-Lago” in Florida, in the absence of daughter Ivanka and son Donald Trump Junio.

But son-in-law, Jared Kushner, was present at the announcement Step Political, in a move that was considered support for the former president, who faces several obstacles in his efforts to return to the White House.

The Washington Post reported, on Wednesday, that the results of the recent midterm congressional elections dealt a blow to Trump, because the candidates who enjoyed his support suffered resounding losses, which helped the Democrats come out with minimal losses.
