Pay attention, the health authorities in Greece announced, on Sunday, that the West Nile virus has killed 21 people in the country since the beginning of this summer.

On Sunday, the European "Euronews" website quoted the Greek Center for Disease Control and Prevention, which is under the supervision of the Ministry of Health, that the virus also infected about 178 other people.

The virus is spread through mosquito and mosquito bites, and symptoms include headache, lethargy, coma, and convulsions.

The West Nile virus first appeared in northern Greece in 2010.

And the name “West Nile” was given to the virus, as the first case of it was detected in a woman in the West Nile region of Uganda in 1937.

And this summer, the virus caused dozens of casualties in Europe, with Italy, Serbia and Greece the most affected, according to press reports.
