An Iraqi activist was assassinated with her family after being raped in the most horrific way

The activist in the Baghdad protests, Tariq Al-Husseini, said that the purpose of the attack was to liquidate Shaylan because she was working as a paramedic in Tahrir Square in central Baghdad during the popular demonstrations that swept Iraq since October 2019, noting that she was liquidated to silence her voice, as happened with dozens of other activists.

Al-Husseini called on the government of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi to fulfill its pledges it made regarding the prosecution of those involved in the killing of demonstrators and activists, and bringing them to justice.

Al-Kazemi's government had pledged to prosecute those involved in the killing of protesters and activists, but no accused had been brought to justice so far.
