“Dubai Economy and Tourism” honors members of the Ambassador Program for their contribution to supporting the business events sector in Dubai
The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism honored the members of the Ambassador Program, including healthcare professionals, scientists and experts in many sectors, as well as a group of academics, business leaders and government officials who contributed to attracting international business events to Dubai.
Dubai Business Events, the official office for attracting events and conferences in Dubai of the department, presented prizes to 20 member organizations during the annual honoring ceremony for the program, which was held on March 3 at the Dubai Exhibition Center at Expo 2020 Dubai.
The emirate’s role in pioneering the scene of revitalizing the business events sector is evident at the global level, as the presentations by the ambassadors contribute to enhancing the opportunity to host a series of conferences, exhibitions and meetings over the coming years, providing platforms for knowledge exchange, support for professional development and networking.
In conjunction with the unique and attractive offers that Dubai continues to provide to attract major events related to international associations, societies and bodies, the Ambassador program contributed last year to Dubai winning the hosting of 26 international conferences to be held in the coming years to attract more than 35 specialists and experts in various sectors and from around the world. . The most prominent events that the program contributed to winning in 2021 include: the 2025th General Conference of the International Council of Museums (2024), the IEEE Conference on Wireless Communications and Networks (2023), the World Conference on Science and Technology Education (2024) and the Conference of the International Society of Peritoneal Dialysis (XNUMX).

In addition to awarding the awards, the event saw the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism provide delegates with an overview of how Dubai’s tourism sector continues to lead the global recovery process, and Expo 2020 presented plans for transforming the site into District 2020. The event included a panel discussion in which the ambassador’s program members participated in discussing lessons Learned and planned upcoming events, during which global speaker and entrepreneur Krzysztof Seloch highlighted the importance of these events in practical life.
