Information obtained by Al-Arabiya.net reveals that the “Blue Hole” area, which is located in the heart of the Red Sea, opposite the city of Dahab in the South Sinai Governorate in Egypt, is a steep hole whose circular borders can be seen from outside the water, and its diameter does not exceed 80 meters. It is a precursor to a deep underwater cave that was formed over millions of years, and its depth reaches 130 meters.

Professional divers and divers from all over the world declared the challenge, and tried to dive in that area, explore it and learn its secrets.

An Egyptian diver who managed to recover most of the 150 divers who died in the area, while some bodies are still found inside, and there is a memorial in front of the beach in the area with the names of the majority of the victims who lost their lives in this dangerous spot, such as Stephen Keenan, James Paul Smith, Caroline Joan, Daniel Michael, Tariq Saeed Al-Qadi, Barbara Dillinger, Stefan Felder, Leszek Szyczynski Robert, Wink Osky.

Tariq Omar, the Egyptian diver, nicknamed "The Great Diver", who retrieved the bodies of 150 of his colleagues, tells other details about the area. He tells Al Arabiya.net that the "Blue Hole" area was known in the city of Dahab as the Divers' Cemetery, with a diameter of 80 meters, and is not Non-accredited divers are permitted to go there, as it is classified as one of the most dangerous diving areas in the world.

He added that there are multiple accounts about the reason for the danger of the area, including that it is a deep underwater cave that can be entered and cannot get out of, and some are rumors that the area was hit by a sinner, so it formed and became a cemetery for everyone who begged himself to enter it, indicating that he used his experiences. In the field of technical diving to retrieve the bodies of the victims from the area for free.

He said that he found the bodies of tourists who were diving in the area and of various nationalities, but most of them are of Russian and Irish nationalities, stressing that diving in the area is dangerous and difficult, and therefore, before exhuming the victims, he studies the place first, and finds out the last site where the diver was seen before he went missing.

He added that he searches in one place without going into it, and that precedes a comprehensive survey so that he begins his journey by reaching any visible sign and tracing it to reach the body.

The Egyptian diver revealed that when he finds the corpse, he retrieves it or what remains of it, and climbs it to the surface of the water and then returns to retrieve any belongings that are still present and through which the identity of the victim can be known.
