The Black Plague” is a very old disease that killed millions of people in Asia, Africa and Europe, and it was called the “Black Death” because of spots of blood that became black that appeared under the skin of the infected person.

The disease is transmitted to humans through fleas, and animals can also be infected.

There are types of plague, bubonic plague, a disease that causes inflammation of the tonsils, lymph nodes and spleen, and its symptoms appear in the form of fever, headache, tremors and pain in the lymph nodes. And blood plague, where germs multiply in the blood and cause fever, chills, and bleeding under the skin or in other places of the infected body.

As for pneumonic plague, in this type the germs enter the lungs and cause severe pneumonia.

It is noteworthy that the warning of the Chinese authorities came a week after the discovery of a new strain of swine flu in the country, amid the possibility of it also turning into a new global pandemic.
