Queen Elizabeth will pay £XNUMXm to avoid Prince Andrew being prosecuted over Swiss chalet
Queen Elizabeth has decided to pay XNUMX million pounds for a payment owed to Prince Andrew for the price of a chalet he and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson bought, after threatening to prosecute Prince Andrew.
In 2014, a chalet in Ferrier ski station in southwestern Switzerland cost 22 million Swiss francs (21 million euros).
In the purchase contract reviewed by the newspaper, six million out of 22 million must be paid on December 31, 2019, but that did not happen.
The former owner of the chalet began legal proceedings against the prince and his ex-wife to obtain the money owed with interest, demanding eight million Swiss francs.
