To reach these results, the researchers conducted the experiment on 43,722 women, their ages ranged between 35-74 years, and they were divided into groups based on whether there was lighting in the room or not.
In addition, the researchers noted the results that the weight of the women who were in the lighted rooms increased by about 5 kilograms during the five years.
The researchers emphasized that although there are obstacles in this study, they give us an indication of the need to sleep in dark rooms during the night hours, in order not to interfere with the sleep process that the body is going through.
