Identity, emergency and crises determine the conditions for the return of holders of valid residency to the United Arab Emirates
Within the framework of the initiative to return residents abroad who hold valid residencies, which was launched by the UAE earlier, and to complement the efforts made by the state under exceptional circumstances to confront the emerging corona virus “Covid-19” and to support the trend towards activating the gradual easing program to be implemented during The coming period.. The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship and the National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management have adopted a list of requirements to obtain approval related to the return of residents with valid residency holders who are outside the country, starting from the first of July.
Among the most prominent requirements, the pre-examination is conducted in the countries that contract with leading laboratories accredited by the competent authority and spread in about “106” cities in “17” countries as a first stage, provided that the validity of the examination result does not exceed “72” hours before the take-off date. The plane, and people will not be able to board the plane without obtaining the approval related to proving that it is free of the “Covid-19” virus, and people will be able to obtain the result of the examination via their e-mail.
It is also worth noting that the readiness of the rest of the laboratories for other countries will be announced in the coming days in coordination with partners by launching the second phase, which includes “19” cities in “8” countries, and the third phase with “150” laboratories among the list of “31” countries. The list of these laboratories and their readiness status can be found by visiting the authority's website (Smartservice.ica.gov.ae).
Note that “Covid-19” tests will be conducted for those arriving in the country who do not have accredited laboratories in the countries from which they came, until the laboratories are ready, as the pre-examination requirement will be applied at the time.
The rest of the requirements also stipulate a commitment to a home or health quarantine for a period of 14 days, with bearing the costs involved in conducting the examination or the approved quarantine in the absence of housing compatible with the health requirements of the quarantine, and the institutional bodies in which these individuals work must bear all costs related to the medical examination and quarantine whenever What this required, in addition to the necessity of using one of the applications of the approved tracking systems in order to monitor the health status in order to preserve their safety and the safety of society.
