Angelina Jolie defeats Brad Pitt again in court

The California Supreme Court has rejected Brad Pitt's appeal in the custody dispute over his children.

And the British newspaper, the Daily Mail, said that Brad Pitt had filed an appeal last June against a ruling that the judge hearing the case was incompetent, and the rejection of this appeal overturned another ruling that Pitt had obtained giving him the right to see his children for a longer period.

The Supreme Court's decision reignited the dispute over the five minor children, although it was nearing completion, and Pitt's lawyer previously said that Angelina Jolie's efforts to dismiss the judge were aimed at preventing enforcement of a temporary custody order that was in Pitt's favour.

For his part, Brad Pitt said that the Supreme Court's decision "does not change the abundant and factual evidence that led the trial judge and many of the experts who gave their opinion to reach their clear conclusion about child custody."
