Suspending the Reham Saeed program and the first response to the accusations

Reham Saeed, after the anger caused by the episode "Hunting Wild Animals", led by foxes and wolves, the Supreme Council for Egyptian Media Regulation announced Saturday The “Sabaya Al-Khair” program was suspended on “Al-Nahar” channel until the end of the investigations with the presenter, Reham Saeed, and the legal representative of the channel, after complaints against the program were submitted.

It is noteworthy that the episode included animal torture, as Saeed appeared with a group of people holding a small fox, and tied his legs, which aroused the discontent of those concerned with animal rights. The fox appeared to be subjected to torture, restraint and suffocation until his tears fell from the severity of the pain. The episode also angered the public on social media, and some demanded the suspension of the Egyptian broadcaster.

And in her first comment on the decision to stop her program, she crossed Riham Said She expressed her sadness over the attack situation that she is being subjected to and accused of torturing animals in order to attract millions of views on social media.

And she said through a video clip on her Facebook account: “I was raised in a house where he lived all his life, and I had a squirrel, a hedgehog and an eagle, and the pictures came out of my son yesterday, who caught the animals,” stressing that the idea of ​​her trading in animals and that she is a merciless human being is unreal, especially from People who are close to her and who know her relationship and her love for animals.

Saeed also apologized, during her message, for the scene of pictures of hunting animals that caused harm to the feelings of her followers, pointing out that in the end she is not responsible for this scene, saying: “We said we want to focus on the profession of hunting animals, and I did not allow the man to hunt animals in the hard way because this is because I photograph, I am going to photograph a hunting trip of wolves and foxes only.”

And she continued, "I don't know what we are going to hunt, and I'm on a fishing trip, like anyone, and this is the way they hunt, and I don't have access to it, and the fishing profession exists for many purposes, including scientific and commercial ones, and my job is to cover the fishing trip, and it's clear from the episode and my words in the other that I I am not happy with the way they hunted, and this was evident in my facial expressions during filming.”

In addition, Saeed explained that this method of hunting is rejected by the public and hers too, but she does not know the correct method of hunting, adding: "I do not know the correct method of hunting, and of course the right of people to be upset, but Reham did not make a circle to torture animals in order to gain viewing."

She confirmed that the program shed light on a bad phenomenon of hunting innocent animals and that she is happy to reveal the method of fishermen who hunt animals in a bad way, noting that the program highlighted a file that the media did not touch on before, and that its program is based on the truth and sheds light on the truth with its sweet and bitter.

Saeed also expressed her admiration for not shedding light on the fisherman’s method of hunting foxes and wolves, saying: “No one is sincere about the biography of the hunter, nor the method of hunting, and it is all above me and my money. by fishing.”

In addition, I sent a message to the audience: “You saw the method of fishing as unsatisfactory by killing me, why am I the inventor of this method, and I did not tell the fishermen to hunt, and I covered a need that would happen with the utmost sincerity, and why does honesty bother? I ask the audience not to repeat the mistake, and I do not complain every time and take with the trend,” adding: “There are people against me and people who are upset that I came out with this program and people are hired to intervene in the face of this campaign and make hashtags against me. Useful, and this episode is very useful if you let all the fishermen change the way they hunt, then I did a lot of good for the animals.”

And she continued, "I apologize for the bad scenes of hunting animals, but there is a systematic work against me, and I stopped my grocery store for a year and a half, and I still haven't reviewed the program, and I want to present a good need and a purposeful need, and we present joy and try to satisfy the public taste of the viewer."

It is reported that, earlier, Al-Nahar channel issued a statement apologizing to viewers for the content of the episode, and noted that the episode had been deleted from its accounts on various social media platforms.

The Minister of Environment, Yasmine Fouad, had confirmed through the official page of the ministry on "Facebook", that Reham Saeed made several mistakes during the episode, as she did not obtain the necessary permits to film a hunting trip for wild animals and for hunting a wild animal.

The episode also presented a wrong and unprofessional message to promote illegal actions and behaviors through the use of prohibited fishing tools and methods because they cause harm to animals, according to the minister, who considered it a clear violation of animal welfare laws and customs.

It is noteworthy that the Egyptian law clearly criminalizes such trips, as Article 28 of Environmental Law No. 9 of 2009 states that “it is prohibited in any way to carry out any of the following acts: hunting, killing, catching birds, wild animals and aquatic organisms, possessing, transporting, or Exporting, importing, or trading in them, alive or dead, in whole or in parts or their derivatives, or performing acts that would destroy their natural habitats, change their natural properties or habitats, damage their nests, or destroy their eggs or their offspring.

And the Reham Saeed program has previously been suspended for a year since August 2019, after she mocked those who are obese and overweight.
