In pictures... "Toyota" and the artist Fatima Al Mulla celebrate the Emirati heritage with a special edition of the "Land Cruiser" 2021

Al-Futtaim Tuyona, and Emirati pop art designer and entrepreneur Fatima Mohammed Obaid Al Mulla, celebrated the art and cultural heritage of the UAE by launching a special edition 2021 Land Cruiser, with an exterior and interior design inspired by Emirati heritage.

The exclusive edition, which was shown on the sidelines of Dubai Design Week, was the result of the joint efforts of “Al-Futtaim Toyota” and the artist Fatima Al-Mulla, for the sake of joint efforts to empower Emirati women, and to present works that instill feelings of pride in the national identity, in conjunction with the launch of “Al-Futtaim Toyota”. For the 2021 model of its flagship vehicle in the large SUV category “Land Cruiser”, in a car whose history is closely linked to the Emirati community fabric, as it is one of the cars that has enjoyed for decades the trust of the Emirati family in its movements, whether within cities or long trips and desert adventures.

The Land Cruiser Special Edition reflected Al Mulla's personal style, lifestyle and vision of a car designed for a strong and inspiring Emirati woman, after Al Mulla was keen to adorn the Special Edition with unique Indian shapes and bold patterns that pulsate with Emirati lifestyles inspired by ancient culture and heritage.

Speaking to the press, about the partnership with Al-Futtaim Toyota, Al Mulla said: “The Land Cruiser is more than just an impressive SUV for me. I grew up in a house where our family members used to drive this car for decades. What encouraged me without hesitation to my partnership with Al-Futtaim Toyota and to cooperate together to create a special design for the 2021 model year, and turn it into a piece of art that emulates Emirati social and cultural stereotypes.”
