Beckham is banned from driving because of a fan photo

Beckham is banned from driving and the reason is that he used his mobile phone while driving.

On Thursday, an English court issued a decision to ban former football star David Beckham from driving for six months, after convicting him of using his mobile phone lost while he was behind the wheel of his car.

And the former star of the national team and Manchester United club had previously admitted to committing this violation after a passerby spotted him while he was driving his “Bentley” in a London street on November 21.

And Bromley Court in south London ruled today, that the 44-year-old beckham was punished with a six-point deduction from the balance of his driver's license, in addition to a fine of 750 pounds (868 euros), in addition to paying the costs of judicial procedures.

Beckham attended today's sentencing hearing.

The player wore a dark gray formal suit, and in the courtroom, he only mentioned his full name, date of birth and residence address.

Judge Catherine Moore explained that Beckham had previously received a six-point penalty from the balance of his license, which made him reach the maximum allowed (12 points), which therefore requires him to be banned from driving.

Prosecuting attorney Matthew Spratt said a bystander took a picture of Beckham using his phone while his car was moving.

On the other hand, defense attorney Gerard Tyrell responded that his client was driving at a slow speed and "does not mention the day in question or this particular incident."

"There is no excuse for what happened (using the phone while driving), but he does not mention this," he said. He will plead guilty and that is what happened.”
