Bella Hadid The most beautiful moments of my life were in my prayers

Palestinian-American model Bella Hadid has always cherished her Arab roots, and in her latest statements, she revealed aspects of her life as an Arab girl living in the Midwest.

Bella Hadid was born to a Palestinian father, Muhammad Hadid, and a Dutch mother, Yolanda Hadid, but her parents divorced when she was only four years old.

The model describes growing up in Santa Barbara and how she was the only Arab girl in school, which was not a big deal to her except for the occasional racist name given to her during her teenage years. However, it did lead to her feeling isolated.

“I was never able to see myself in anything other than solitude, so I tried to just sit,” Bella says.

She pointed out that she wished she could live with her father and study in an Islamic culture, but that was not destined for her.

Bella Hadid's statements come after her appearance as a guest of honor in the American series Ramy in its new season, and while she was on the filming site, the crew surprised her with a shirt that read "Free Palestine" in a nice gesture.

And she spoke about her participation in the work: “I could not handle my feelings..Being an Arab, this was the first time I had been with like-minded people. I was able to see myself.”

Joining the show also cemented her friendship with actor and comedian Ramy Youssef, who plays the title role, and she says the time she spent with him enabled her to explore Islam further.

Bella recalled a situation that Rami had collected in the month of Ramadan, and said: “There was a time when Rami came during the month of Ramadan and allowed me to pray with him – and that was one of the most beautiful moments in my life.”

On the other hand, the model is known for her staunch defense of the Palestinian cause. Last year, the New York Times published a controversial ad that described her, her sister Gigi and singer Dua Lipa as anti-Semites for their support of Palestine.

She told GQ magazine, "I realized I'm not on this earth to be a model... I'm very fortunate and blessed to be in a position to speak the way I do." And really, what is the fall? To lose my job? ”
