Taylor Swift Receives a Ph.D. From New York University And Suffering Cause

Taylor Swift officially received her Ph.D. in Fine Arts and became New York University's Dr. Taylor Swift during a graduation ceremony held at Yankee Stadium.

Taylor, who gave her graduation speech, said, "I'm 90% sure the reason I'm here is because I have a song called '22'."

"Learn to live alongside discomfort, no matter how hard you try to avoid being upset, you'll look at your life and look back, and not being invited to parties and sleepovers in my hometown made me feel lonely and hopeless," she continued.

She added, "But because I felt lonely, I would sit in my room and write songs that would give me a ticket to somewhere else."

The NYU account shared a picture of Taylor on Twitter with the caption, “I know it can be really hard to know who you are and when. Who are you now and how do you act in order to get where you want to go. I have some good news: It's entirely up to you. I also have some terrifying news: It's entirely up to you."
