Designer Georges Hobeika chose the 1980s to reinterpret its elegance in a contemporary style in his ready-to-wear collection for the upcoming fall and winter, which he presented on the sidelines of Paris Fashion Week events. Through it, he addressed a generation of young men and women who are looking for lively and modern elegance, but who also have a deep-rooted respect for the nobility of the past.

The idea for this collection started from a dress that a girl borrowed from her mother’s closet because of its timeless elegance, and she was keen to wear it in a modern style to suit the image she wanted to appear with.

The tweed material was the most prominent element in this collection, as it was repeatedly used in skirts, dresses and oversized jackets due to the feeling of confidence and elegance it conveys. The house also used Duchess satin, silk crepe, and muslin materials to create looks that suit the festive atmosphere of events and evenings.

The atmosphere of the eighties was evident in the approved cuts of the fashions and elements inspired by nature, such as clouds and flowers that bloomed on the designs. As for the embroidery that Georges Hobeika uses in all its collections, it was implemented this time in a simple style, as it addresses a generation that prefers “minimalism” to abundance in this field.

The color palette of this autumn collection was pastel, with a prominent presence of light pink, lilac, light green, and berry red, in addition to beige, white, and shy touches of black. As for the accessories accompanying it, it adopted the idea of transmission from one generation to the next by appearing an innovative version of the classic pearl earrings that seemed more bold and abstract. Tweed was mixed with leather in bags and shoes, and many looks were accompanied by tulle gloves and wide hair bows.

This collection included more than 80 women's and men's looks that transcended the boundaries of trends to re-present a vibrant and youthful vision of the fashion world.

It was photographed in a winter garden setting as an expression of vitality, youth, and freedom of expression with respect for the past that carries the warmth of memories. It embodied an enchanting journey through time that added bold details from the future to the magic of the past.
