The diet was first described in a 2018 book titled “The Boiled Egg Diet: The Fast and Easy Way to Lose Weight!” By Ariel Chandler. While the diet is also widely promoted on the TikTok platform, there are even some celebrities who follow the diet, and it is said that Nicole Kidman ate a boiled egg diet before starring in the movie “Cold Mountain.”

The diet is not complicated or difficult to follow. Breakfast includes at least two eggs and one piece of fruit, with the option to include vegetables or a low-carb protein. Lunch and dinner consist of eggs or lean protein, in addition to low-carb vegetables.

It does not provide balanced nutrition

She pointed out that there are many foods that are prohibited from following the boiled egg diet, including:

However, one person made a more common complaint, saying, “The egg diet will burn you out because of the eggs. “I did it and it worked, but I hate eggs now.”

Palinsky-Wade agrees that dieters may see some weight loss since the egg diet is low in both calories and carbohydrates, explaining that “initial weight loss will include water loss, leading to dramatic results but not a significant actual loss of body fat.” .

Doctor or nutritionist

The biggest concern, according to Palinsky-Wade and other experts as well as people who have tried the diet, is that while the diet may be good for a few weeks, it is not sustainable in the long term.
