What is the paleo diet?
It is sometimes called the "stone" diet because it is supposed to follow the eating style of Paleolithic humans - they were known to have relied on hunting and it can be said that they probably ate a lot of protein due to their high consumption of meat and other animal products Relative to their environment, they ate plenty of fiber found in non-starchy vegetables and low-carb fruits. The diet also emphasizes eating fewer carbohydrates and salt.
What can you eat on the paleo diet?
The eating plan is based on lean meats, wild fish, vegetables, nuts, seeds, eggs and some fruits. It also contains monounsaturated fats such as avocado and olive oil
What can't you eat on the paleo diet?
Grains such as wheat, rye, oats, rice, dairy products, potatoes, legumes from beans, peanuts, refined sugar, processed foods and vegetable oils.
