Days after her disappearance in front of her home in the Muhajireen neighborhood of Homs, central Syria, the regime’s security services found the 4-year-old girl, Joy Istanbuli, “killed and dumped in the Tal al-Nasr landfill in Homs,” the regime’s Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday.

The ministry said in its account on Facebook, that "through preliminary investigations and the result of the medical examination, it was found that the body belonged to the girl Joy Istanbuli, who has been missing since August XNUMX, and her mother recognized her through her clothes."

As it turned out, “the cause of death was severe bleeding caused by hitting the head with a sharp object.”

The judge decided to hand the body over to the family, while investigations continue to uncover the circumstances of the crime and arrest the perpetrators, according to the ministry.

In turn, the director of the General Authority for Forensic Medicine, Zaher Hajjo, told Sham FM radio that the apparent deformation on the girl's body was caused by a state of disintegration, "the decomposition of the body."

He pointed out that the death was caused by the beating with a sharp object on the left side of the girl's head.

It is noteworthy that the images of the girl have topped the social media pages in the country since her disappearance, as citizens expressed their great sadness and anger over the incident.

Activists and citizens demanded immediate and quick retribution from the perpetrator of this horrific crime to prevent its recurrence, as the incident caused great fear for children in the country.
