A famous artist was imprisoned after insulting a policeman. My watch is more than your salary

A large campaign of criticism was launched against the Iraqi artist, known as “Boatij” by Kuwaiti followers, after circulating a video clip of him insulting a Kuwaiti policeman who was writing a report for him in Kuwait.

The artist appeared in the clip while driving his car and talking about a police officer who wrote a violation against him and did not hesitate to mock him and his security rank.
He said: "You pull the language and what do you want with the language, it is normal, I mean withdraw what you want, but you are supposed to do all this, I know your brother, your brother was attending with me in one class, and you were with me in the same school."

He added: "I am sitting in your pension for an hour, you are in a month, stay a little while, take the license, take the car after, what you want after, this hour is more expensive than your salary."
After the video was widely circulated, the Public Prosecution moved and ordered the artist to be detained for 21 days and referred to the central prison.
He was charged with insulting an officer of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior, according to a report published by the local newspaper, Al-Rai.
