Vitamin pills.. no benefit from harm!!!!

It seems that the money you spent on buying vitamin boxes and supplements was nothing but a waste of money, as a recent study showed that those nutritional supplements that are sold in public places and that can be bought without a doctor’s prescription to the point that they “cannot be effective,” according to What was published by the British newspaper "Daily Mail", quoting Dr. Paul Clayton, a clinical pharmacologist.

"Most of the companies that make these products use inexpensive ingredients that have little scientific evidence," Dr. Clayton added.

World War

In a stinging attack on the multibillion-dollar industry around the world, he said the only effect of these nutritional supplements is to drain consumers' hard-earned money.

There is no doubt that vitamins and minerals are essential to human health, but Dr. Clayton said that taking vitamins in capsule form does not provide any additional benefit.

In an exclusive statement to the Daily Mail, Dr. Clayton explained: 'The task of clinicians is to provide treatment based on expectations based on the so-called 'evidence-based medicine' (EBM), and that consumers around the world deserve 'evidence-based nutrition' (EBN).

“This is a problem for most brands of nutritional supplements that are on the market, as the majority of the products are so poorly formulated and manufactured that they cannot be effective,” Dr. Clayton explained.

Dr Clayton, who previously advised the UK Government's Committee on Drug Safety in the 3s, added: "They use untested, unproven and less expensive ingredients including all vitamins, multivitamins, omega-XNUMXs and vitamin C tablets. And the like, there is no evidence to support any of them.

And he added, “The only thing these products have in common is that they do not produce results and there is no physical evidence to support them. And when any of these things are put to the test, they don't do anything."

"These products are sold by companies that don't really know what they're selling, and customers who don't know what they're really buying are the ones who accept them," says Dr. Clayton.

 Vitamins around the world

The nutritional supplement market is witnessing a steady growth around the world, as one of the economic reports indicated that the volume of consumption of nutritional supplements reached 132.8 billion dollars in 2016 and achieved an increase of 8.8% in 2017, and is expected to reach 220.3 billion dollars in 2022.

Dr. Clayton, who is currently in the US, predicts a transition from a "dark age of false nutrition" to an "age of evidence-based science".

Dr. Clayton notes that the market for nutritional supplements is "saturated", but dozens of nutritional supplements with scientifically proven benefits are currently being prepared. These products are called nutraceuticals or "super nutritional supplements."

Experience is better than proof

Commenting on Dr Clayton's views, British supplement distributor Healthspan said: "There are already many brands of supplement on the market that are ineffective, because they are not manufactured to a pharmaceutical standard known as GMP."

Healthspan adds that “there are products that are manufactured according to GMP standards to ensure safety and consistency of dosage, and that there must be a note indicating the authorization of production under the THR Act on the registration of traditional herbal products, to ensure that all ingredients have been checked and ensure that they contain the correct plant extracts.”
