The method of injecting elderly patients with blood plasma was based on studies conducted on mice, yet there is almost no scientific evidence to confirm its success in humans, according to what was stated in the newspaper “The Times”.

FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb and Peter Marks, director of the FDA's Center for Biologicals, cautioned consumers and health care providers that treatments that rely on plasma transfusions from young donor blood have not undergone the rigorous testing that the FDA usually requires in order to confirm They have therapeutic benefit and ensure their safety, so these treatments should be considered unsafe and ineffective.

They added that the promotion of this method can discourage patients with serious or incurable diseases from seeking safe and effective treatments for their condition.
