And to reduce the annoying symptoms of inflammation, a recent study published in the American “Lifestyle” magazine concluded that adhering to an anti-inflammatory diet is the best effective way to do so.

This study was conducted on 44 participants previously diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, a chronic inflammatory disorder that affects joints and other body systems.

The study lasted 16 weeks, during which the first group adhered to a plant-based diet for 4 weeks, as well as eliminating additional foods such as citrus fruits and chocolate for 3 weeks.

The restricted foods were then slowly reintroduced to the participants' diet for 9 weeks, while the placebo group followed an unrestricted diet and was asked to take a placebo capsule daily. The groups then exchanged the diet for 16 weeks.

During the period in which the participants adhered to a strict vegetarian diet, the inflammation coefficient decreased by two points on average, which means that they noticed a decrease in joint pain, in addition to a decrease in the average number of swollen joints, and the participants’ body weight decreased by an average of 6 kilograms, and there was also Decrease in bad cholesterol by sticking to plant foods.
