Al-Mahri: “Dubai Font” highlights the ambitions of the emirate and embodies its vision in establishing the highest meanings of giving and tolerance among peoples

The "Dubai Line" initiative, launched by the General Secretariat of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, participated in the celebrations of the International Day for Tolerance, which falls on November 16 of each year, based on its values ​​aimed at promoting the concepts of diversity and respect, and working to build creative partnerships based on the values ​​of tolerance, pluralism and respect Diversity, and building bridges of human, civilized and cultural rapprochement, which reflects the lofty message of the UAE to support the principles of tolerance and harmony of life among all peoples.

On this occasion, the “Dubai Line” initiative launched an awareness campaign highlighting that “intolerance is not inherited, but acquired,” and portrayed to the world the importance of the value of tolerance through the eyes of children, who have the most tolerant hearts among humans.

Six children of different nationalities participated in the campaign, such as the UAE, Lebanon, Egypt, France, India and Australia, aged between 5 and 7 years. Some of their expressions were recorded in video clips when I read to them a story that talks about the importance of tolerance between different peoples. If you read from beginning to end, It revolves around intolerance if you read the story in the opposite direction. Through those shots, a film was produced that showed how opinions and feelings are affected by different points of view, and provided an eloquent awareness of the meaning of tolerance in our daily lives.

The children’s expressions confirmed the innate truth that intolerance is not inherited, but rather acquired, and reminded the whole world of the true meaning of tolerance and the importance of adopting it and the necessity of overcoming the differences that often create division between people. The moving film motivates viewers to be more positive and tolerant and believe that tolerance is our choice.

For his part, Engineer Ahmed Al Mahri, Assistant Secretary-General for Government Communications and General Secretariat Affairs and Director of the Dubai Line project, stressed that the distinguished experience of the Dubai Line and its values ​​aiming at tolerance and coexistence embody the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and President of the UAE. The Cabinet and Ruler of Dubai, and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, which carry a message to the world calling for working together and inventing joint initiatives and ideas that promote tolerance and civilized coexistence.
