Lose weight without depriving

Pasta, potatoes, pizza and pies are favorite foods for many because of their delicious taste, but they are not very healthy because they contain a high percentage of carbohydrates. They are not the best option, especially for those looking to lose weight and lose a few kilograms of fat.

However, nutrition expert, Elie Precher, emphasized that eating healthy carbohydrates in moderation is “vital for the body to function optimally.” Instead of depriving us of eating these foods, we can make some adjustments to make them healthier.

He added that instead of completely eliminating carbohydrates from our dishes, we should focus on choosing carbohydrates that provide a higher dose of fiber, vitamins and minerals, according to a report published by the British "The Sun".

In this context, he suggested a range of ways to transform our favorite dishes such as pasta and pizza that contain carbohydrates into healthier dishes.

replace white wheat

Starting with pasta or pasta, basic pasta dishes can make the family a healthy meal, so you don't have to fear fettuccine, for example.

Nutritionists recommend replacing white pasta with a variety of whole grains, as this will provide more gut-loving fiber.

Or opt for chickpea-based pasta or red lentils for higher fiber and protein, both of which make you feel fuller faster and therefore less likely to overeat.

lighter sauce

As for sauces, instead of a heavy, creamy pasta sauce that can add extra calories and high levels of fat, Elle suggested opting for homemade tomato sauce.

They are high in the antioxidant lycopene, to which a handful of wilted spinach can be added to boost iron, vitamin K and magnesium.

whole grains

As for pizza, there are several ways to turn it into a healthy meal. Instead of refined white dough, a nutritionist suggested opting for a whole grain crust.

You can also use lighter cheeses, and add more vegetables such as mushrooms, sweet corn and olives.

He also pointed out the need to know the portion sizes, so instead of eating a whole pizza on your own, you can share it with a friend alongside a salad dish so that you only have half a pizza.
