A French doctor disgusts society by suggesting vaccine experiments on Africans

Doctor Jean-Paul Mira, head of the intensive care unit at Cochin Hospital in Paris, over the past two days, sparked a storm of local and international criticism, after he presented, during a television interview, a proposal described as racist and disgusting by the French media.

After international media reported his name along with this proposal, Mira apologized for what he said on Wednesday, proposing to conduct experiments on a possible vaccine for Covid-19 in Africa, and on some deviant girls.

During an interview on the French “LCI” channel with the director of research at the French National Institute of Health, Camille Lochte, who was talking about the “BCG” tuberculosis vaccine, which is being tested in a number of European countries to treat corona, Mira said: “The I wanted to be a little provocative, should we not conduct this study in Africa, where there are no masks, treatment or care, as happened in some studies related to AIDS, for example.”

He added, "Why is the vaccine not tested in Africa, where we know that they are at risk and do not protect themselves?"

“Africa is not a laboratory of experiments”

However, that episode, which was supposed to be a scientific discussion, turned into a wide debate on social media and in the media as well.

Many criticized this proposal, describing it as racist, as retired soccer star Didier Drogba commented on Twitter, saying, “Africa is not a laboratory of experiments. I would like to denounce these insulting, wrong and, above all, racist words.”

This came in conjunction with France recording a significant increase in the number of corona infections and deaths alike, especially after adding data for nursing homes.
