Salwa: You have built an inspiring and wonderful journey through your profession in the hospitality sector. Can you share with us the stages of that journey from the beginning until you reached where you are today?

Dominic: Of course, working in the hospitality field is a dream I had since childhood. I studied hotel management in my home country.

In Canada in the School of Hospitality, then I did a postgraduate degree in Human Resources, and then I joined IHMP with

My team selection process has changed over the years. I started my career by recruiting in a way

I consider private interviews more effective and influential than anything else, and it is the method that I like and helps me establish trust between me and the staff, and certainly trust is one of the most important factors in the success of one team.

Salwa: As the new General Manager of Fairmont, The Palm, can you tell us what the hotel's plans for this year are and what goals you are seeking to achieve in terms of food and beverage services specifically?

Dominic: Fairmont The Palm has a wide range of restaurants, passing from east to west with different flavors of the world

Our restaurant Little Miss India is a “Michelin Guide Dubai 2022 Selected Restaurant”.
