Queen Elizabeth's last trip is the most followed in history.. five million followers
Just over five million people watched the last flight of Queen Elizabeth on Tuesday, making the flight from Edinburgh to London the most-followed flight in history.
A total of 24 million people watched the flight directly on the Internet, in addition to a quarter of a million other people who watched it on its YouTube channel, Flightradar4.79.com said.
The site added that six million people, an unprecedented number, had tried to follow the flight since the beginning of the operation of the aircraft (Boeing C17A Globemaster) with its transceiver at Edinburgh Airport, which affected the stability of its platform.
"Seventy years after her first flight as a queen on board the Argonaut 'Atlanta' of British Overseas Airways (BOAC), the last flight of Queen Elizabeth II is the flight," FlightRadar24 Communications Director said in an email. The most tracked in the history of Flight Radar 24.”
The website said the trip was followed by more than double the previous record of 2.2 million, when US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi made a controversial visit to Taiwan in August.
